
Shmuel Polyshuk
With over 30 years of experience in the field of repatriation, Shmuel has spent 9 years at the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration and 23 years working at the ‘Nativ’ service under the Prime Minister’s Office. For the last 6 years, he has been the senior advisor to the head of Nativ in Jerusalem. Previously, he headed the Representation in St. Petersburg, was the head of the repatriation department at the Israeli Embassy in Moscow, led the Representation in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, and was responsible for Nativ’s activities in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Armenia. Since the beginning of 2022, Shmuel has been directly involved in restructuring bureaucratic procedures to expedite the acceptance of a new wave of repatriation in Israel, including the logistics of moving forced refugees, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Absorption, the Jewish Agency, and the Friendship Foundation. Emergency measures were developed, including additional consular reception points for Ukrainians in third countries; the GO NO GO project was launched in an online format for citizens of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, and the Republic of Belarus, and a reception point was opened at Ben-Gurion Airport. Thirteen emergency repatriation points were established across the country. Even the famous electronic application form for consular verification was developed and published with Shmuel’s active participation. Mr. Polishchuk has spent more than five years training Nativ consuls in his role as director of courses for preparing staff for foreign missions. Shmuel has 10 years of experience in the banking sector and has completed a course for investment consultants.
